When Phillipe Halsman, the famous portrait photographer, went to create his now famous photo of Albert Einstein, he was met by a very skeptical genius. Einstein referred to photographers as Light Monkeys. This blog intends to be a resource to all of us light monkeys, both amateur and professional.
As I take on projects, buy equipment or solve photographic problems, I will post my findings and research here. I hope this will become resource for all photographers and my fellow light monkeys will contribute with comments, findings and suggestions. The self-portrait above is my way of solving a problem I always pondered - a three dimensional depiction of a subject in two dimensions.
